Call for Papers Announced

This month, preparations for the IHEEM Conference get under way, with the Call For Papers going out in print and online form. The theme for this year’s Conference is ‘Clean. Lean. Safe. Green.’, highlighting the biggest issues facing the healthcare estates and facilities sector now and for the future.

As always, the Conference aims to bring together the UK’s leading experts and authorities, with papers covering a wide range of policy-based and practical topics. At a time when FM professionals are actively looking for new ideas and approaches, as well as products and services, we’re confident that the Conference will attract significant numbers.

If you’d like to present a paper, you’ll need to submit a 500-word abstract for consideration by IHEEM’s Education Committee. You’ll find details of how to do this, plus a list of the subject areas we’re looking to cover, by downloading the call for papers, visiting the website or calling IHEEM direct on 023 9282 3186

...into a new era

Easy to get to
Moving to Britain's third city gives Healthcare Estates a truly national perspective, and cements its position as the premier event for UK healthcare and facilities management professionals. Manchester Central is in the heart of the city, close to major road, rail and air links, making it easily accessible for visitors from all over the UK.

  • Direct mainline rail services from Central London
  • Major motorway connections to all regions
  • Just nine miles from Manchester Airport
  • Metrolink allows easy local travel within the city

New features and content
Healthcare Estates has always reflected the changing needs of the markets it serves. In 2010, we're introducing a new 'Energy & Sustainability' area within the Exhibition, where companies can present relevant products, ideas and advice directly to visitors and delegates. And whatever the political, economic and technological landscapes look like a year from now, you can be sure they'll provide plenty of fuel for debate in the Conference and supplier presentations programmes.

  • Improved two-day Annual IHEEM Conference, taking full advantage of Manchester Central's brand-new meeting rooms and other conference facilities
  • NEW Energy & Sustainability area
  • Focus on FM and expanded 'Hot on FM' presentations
  • Healthcare Showcase

A better place
The move to Manchester Central means that, for the first time, the entire Healthcare Estates Exhibition will be in one hall. That means all the visitors and delegates will be, too. So it'll be easier for them to find who and what they're looking for - including you - giving them a more positive, productive and enjoyable experience. Other benefits include:

  • Brand-new Conference facilities, allowing a broader, more comprehensive programme
  • State-of-the-art audio-visual technology, plus venue-wide WiFi internet access available
  • 720 on-site car parking spaces
  • Over 2,500 hotel rooms within a five-minute walk

New loyalty scheme
For 2010, we're introducing a new pricing structure that directly rewards your past support for the event. So chances are that, as a current exhibitor, you'll be able to book your stand for 2010 at the same price - or maybe even less - than in 2009. Please call or email us for more details.
