Call for Presentations
Help shape the conversations that matter: be a Speaker at the UK’s premier event for healthcare engineering and estates & facilities management professionals.
This year’s overarching conference theme for Healthcare Estates “Prevention Is Better Than Cure” resonates deeply within the healthcare sector. The next ten years will see unprecedented investment in the NHS with the construction of new hospitals, continuing challenges around backlog maintenance and a shift to more community care which will require significant planning and development of buildings, staff and infrastructure. Alongside this is the need to employ, train and develop the estates and facilities workforce of tomorrow with new skills and qualifications that reflect the digital world we now live in.
IHEEM are keen to be at the forefront and explore this with our expansive network of healthcare professionals from government, policy, industry, academia, and members. Working together we can ensure collectively how we can better deliver a world-class healthcare service for our patients.
We therefore would like to offer this year’s conference as a platform to have informed discussions about what worked well or what didn’t work well in projects, programmes, engineering, design and planning across the NHS estate. Our estates & facilities healthcare sector professionals have gained an immense understanding and experience of valuable insights that can collectively improve the delivery of patient services.
Sharing and identifying lessons learnt from past experiences in healthcare estates is crucial for fostering improvement and avoiding repeated organisational mistakes. By analysing successes and failures in previous schemes and projects, we can collectively uncover valuable insights to guide better future estate management solutions that enhance patient safety, operational and capital efficiencies, and workforce planning.
Our conference themes provide a diverse range of estate management & engineering related topics for sharing your knowledge, experience and learning with healthcare professionals.
How it Works
There are two programmes at Healthcare Estates – The Conference Programme and the Exhibition Theatre Programme. You will need to decide which programme you are applying for and follow the relevant link below to access the appropriate submission form.
Each programme has a set of key themes. Simply identify the theme most closely aligned to your proposed presentation’s subject, and make your submission to that programme.
For both programmes, we are seeking proposals that can be translated into a presentation of around 25 minutes in duration.
We use the Oxford Abstracts platform to manage presentation submissions for this event. When you click to make a submission, you will be taken to the Oxford Abstracts site where you will need to create a free account before submitting your presentation proposal.
