IHEEM has announced three Keynote speakers for the 2024 Healthcare Estates Conference.
Caroline Finlay, Dr John Sandham CEng FIHEEM and Wayne Carr will speak on Medical Engineering & Healthcare Engineering, one of five key themes addressed at the Conference.
Caroline Finlay is Chief Operating Officer at MTS Health. She co-founded MTS Health in 1999 following an 18-year career working directly for the NHS, mainly working within EBME under the management of Estates but culminating with a role as Head of Medical Equipment Management (MEMS) at Kings College Hospital, London. MTS Health has since become the market leader in equipment advisory services including a significant involvement in Medical Devices Management (MDM), compliance audit and transformation.
Dr John Sandham CEng FIHEEM is Executive Advisor to MTS Health & Chairman of the EBME Expo.Recognised as an expert in his field of healthcare technology management, with in excess of 300 published educational articles, Dr John has been instrumental in changing device management policies and processes at many NHS and private healthcare organisations. His many years of equipment management and maintenance experience include biomedical, diagnostic imaging, endoscopy and pathology. John is keen to share his knowledge and raise the profile of Healthcare Technology Management.
Wayne Carr is Director of Estates, Facilities and Clinical Engineering for City Hospitals Independent Commercial Enterprises (CHoICE). Wayne has over 30 years experience of managing and delivering professional healthcare Estates & Facilities services in both the NHS and PFI Sectors, holding senior management roles in a number of NHS Trusts. An ex-apprentice himself, Wayne is now Chair of the Northern & Yorkshire NHS Assessment Centre which delivers Engineering and Clinical Engineering apprentices to Trusts across England.
