This years conference will focus on collaboration between industry professionals the NHS and private sector. Victoria Emerton, Conference Director for the event said, “this years conference takes place on the 4th & 5th October and will have a different feel with three dedicated streams and more interactive sessions. We will be changing the format slightly as delegate numbers have grown in excess of 500 and feedback from those attending is they like ‘real examples’ of delivery and interactive workshops.

We had a record number of papers delivered this year, even surpassing last years record of over 100, so we have a lot of content to choose from. That said with five theatres on the exhibition floor we are able to feer a tremendous amount of content. The conference programme will be announced in May with the exhibition theatre content launched in June.

One of the successes of 2015 was the Water & Infection Control Zone. This years zone will be even bigger with a number of companies supporting and sponsoring the area. Once again led by the Water Management Society the area is also supported by the Legionella Control Association and will provide a dedicated programme of accomplished speakers covering specialist topics such as Rapid Microbiology, existing and emerging water pathogens and the challenges of infection control and engineering. Event App

The organisers are also introducing an event App which will allow visitors and delegates to plan their visit in advance, schedule in meetings and set reminders for sessions they would like to attend. Event Manager, Sam Jenner comments; “as our target audience get more technology savvy and younger we are pleased to be able to offer an event App for pre-registered visitors and delegates. The App allows attendees to link with exhibitors, check mon speakers and sessions and where they are located plus other conference based news and information. The app will also allow us to give maps of the area, and users to track friends and collegaues at the event. We will also be conducting audience polling, session evaluations and generate announcements during the event.”
