The NHS landscape is constantly shifting. Developments such as the the Long Term Plan, with its emphasis on place-based models of care, enabled by technology, are combining with efficiency pressures and Carter metrics to create a huge impact on procurement strategy and delivery. This session will examine how these could combine with changes in the supplier marketplace and skills shortages at a local level to create a perfect storm. How can finance, procurement and estates professionals alike futureproof their service?
Included in the presentation will be an insight into the NHS Procurement and Commercial Standards. These are well-established and provide an effective way of measuring procurement performance in NHS organisations. Here, we look at some of the actions that organisations can take to improve their performance against the standards, with the aim of giving the audience some practical advice on improving procurement processes and strategy within their organisation, with a particular emphasis on estates and FM.
