He has been involved with the development and implementation of the DH ProCure21,DH ProCure21+ and DHSC ProCure22 Framework (www.procure22.nhs.uk). As the DHSC ProCure22 framework expires in September 2016 and he is currently involved in the development of proposals for a successor framework. The previous P21+ National Framework delivered over £4bn of work over 7 years and the current ProCure21+ National Framework currently has in £4.5bn of work registered to be undertaken using the Framework. The P21+ delivered 15% construction cost efficiency savings from 2011 – 2015 and the delivery of this included collaboration with supply chains to deliver the Repeatable Rooms and Standard Components and more recently under the P22 Framework the development and implementation of assurance processes including a POE/GSL Process, Design Assessment Tool etc . In addition the team also provides construction procurement advice to other parts of DHSC.
The ProCure21+ Framework received the following awards:
• Constructing Excellence South East – Integration and Collaborative Working Award 2015;
• National Constructing Excellence Awards 2015 – Integration and Collaborative Working Award;
• British Construction Industry Awards 2015 – Product Design Innovation (Building).
• CN News Supply Chain Excellence Award 2016
The achievement of these awards was the result of collaboration by all involved in the ProCure21+ Framework, namely the DH, the NHS, PSCPs and all within their supply chains as well as those organisations representing Clinicians and Patients.
