Darryn Kerr

Estates and Facilities Director, University Hospital Leicester


Darryn is Executive Director of Estates & Facilities at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.  His Trust Board position includes responsibility for all facets of Estates and Facilities Management, Estates Capital Investment and Delivery, Clinical and Service Planning and PFI Contract Management in one of the largest acute and teaching NHS Trusts in England.  Prior to re-joining the NHS frontline, Darryn, a chartered engineer, held various posts in NHS Estates and the Department of Health, including being the Director for the National Decontamination programme at its inception; Chief Engineer and Head of Profession for the NHS in England, and Acting Director of Estates and Facilities Management of the Department of Health.  He is a career NHS professional with over 30 years’ healthcare experience.  He remains a member of various Department of Health Advisory Committees and Groups.  Along with this substantive post, Darryn has also undertaken the roles of Divisional General Manager for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services and Director of the Infection Prevention and Control for the Trust.
