Biography

Lucy is currently the Young Persons & Diversity Lead, National Estates and Facilities team, NHS England.

Working to improve the recruitment, retention and inclusion of people currently underrepresented in the NHS and in particular the Estates and Facilities Workforce.

Prior to this role, Lucy has worked for over 20 years in a wide variety of roles specialising in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, delivering positive action interventions and in reducing social and economic inequality. Lucy has worked in both the private and public sector before joining NHS England and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD)

Most recently, Lucy worked as the Community Resourcing and Widening Participation Manager at Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). Here, Lucy led multiple award-winning educational and employment programmes such as the large scale, multi-site Pre-Employment and Supported Internship programmes (Project Search), The Princes Trust and Schools Engagement Programme, including leading activity and engagement with the MFT officially sponsored Academy, Manchester Health Academy.
