Vajid Mahmood

Vajid graduated in engineering and management in 1996 and joined Ford Motor company at their European Research and Engineering Centre before moving into the utilities sector with Yorkshire Electricity followed by Manchester Airport.

Vajid joined the healthcare sector in  XXXX at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) implementing the Primary Care GMS, PMS and APMS contracts in the NHS. He then joined NHS Confederation Employers for re-negotiations of the GMS and PMS contracts with BMA.

Vajid joined the NHS estates and Facilities Division at the DHSC in XXXX working on variety of programmes and projects including SHAPE, Decontamination of Surgical Instruments (VCJD), ProCure21 re-let, NHS PAM, Lord Carter’s Recommendations……… Vajid moved to NHS Improvement in October 2016 and is currently heading up the internal operational function, PPM and leading on the New for Old Programme. Vajid is also a Cabinet Office Health Gateway reviewer.

With xx years experience in estates and facilities he is passionate about making a difference in the NHS.
