Vicky Casey

Architect, BDP

Vicky Casey is an Architect Associate at BDP who has been working in the healthcare sector since 2004. She has played a major role in BDP’s largest healthcare projects to date. A key strategic thinker, she worked on the delivery of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and went on to be Design Team Lead for the wards and atria of the Brunel Building at Southmead Hospital. Both projects have received RIBA awards for their design quality. She was also involved in the BDP competition entry (placed as runner up) for BørneRiget Children’s Hospital in Copenhagen, an inspirational brief with interesting differences in thinking to UK trust vision documents.

Vicky is currently assisting 2 major NHS Trust’s with their future development plans and has a personal interest in achieving design excellence alongside strategically efficient hospital design. “Hospitals can be beautiful buildings that inspire hope whilst delivering cutting edge clinical best practice. It just takes the right thinking at the right time.”
