Biography

Eva Hernandez-Garcia is a Research Associate and PhD Candidate at UCL Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction. She is an architect who holds an MSc in Integrative Physiology at University of Barcelona. Her MArch research project, Medicine of the Built Environment on Chronic Disease & Cancer, was distinguished in 2017 Best Degree Projects at the School of Architecture-UPV and 2018 Spanish Pavilion, 16th Venice Biennale Architecture. Eva is trained for Evidence-Based Medicine methods and foundations of Public Health practice. She has participated as a Research Assistant in several consultancies and projects in the fields of built environments and public health mostly. Eva is researching the effect of home environment modifications-based interventions on inflammation biomarkers as surrogate endpoints clinically relevant for cancer survivorship care and its integration as non-drug therapy for cancer survivors with multimorbidity into primary care workflows.
