Biography

I am a research fellow at the School of Civil Engineering with research experience in controlled and real-world settings such as hospitals. My PhD (EPSRC funded) discussed the Factors Affecting the Relationship Between Microorganisms in the Air and on Surfaces in Hospital Environments.

I am interested in the emission, transmission, and mitigation of bioaerosols, the relationship between microorganisms in the air and on surfaces, and the effect of a ventilation system, air cleaning techniques, and UV light on infection risk reduction. I am currently working on the TRACK project, which looks at mitigating infection risk in transportation systems.
