An Overview of BS5266 Code of Practice for the Emergency Lighting of Premises and 2023 Updates

Reflecting changes in harmonised European standards, the UK code of practice for the installation of emergency lighting BS5266 Part 1 is to be updated at the end of 2023.
As a result, some changes and additions to requirements set out in the current 2016 version of the code of practice will be introduced.
This presentation will examine in detail those requirements, discussing how they can be achieved and compliance with the new version of the BS5266 Pt. 1 assured.
The presentation will also refer to the registration of competence for those working in all areas of emergency lighting in accordance with the requirements of the Building Safety legislation.
